Long Term Care
Insurance
What
is long term care? Long term care is the care you may someday
need if
you can no longer
perform every day tasks such as getting
dressed, eating or bathing. It is also the type of care you may
need if you have severe cognitive impairment such as Alzheimer’s.
The need for long term care usually arises from age or chronic
illness, injury or disability. In fact, approximately 60% of us
who reach age 65 will probably need long term care at some point
in our lives. It must be mentioned however that long term care
is not only a senior’s issue. 40% of long term care provided
today is to individuals ages 18 to 64. Long term care can be provided
in a variety of setting such as your home, adult day care centers,
assisted living facilities and nursing homes.
As part of your total financial plan, long term care issues should
be addressed and most importantly, a plan be developed. Schedule
an appointment with John Klimek, our
financial services representative, who
could assist you in these areas and answer any questions you may
have.
