Travelers Checks

When traveling abroad, members should exercise caution when handling their money. Cash is nice, but is not easily replaceable. Our American Express Traveler’s Checks are a safer option. Not only are they replaceable, but you can often exchange them at the front desk of your hotel. We have multiple denominations available to better suit your needs. No need to worry about exchanging the checks into foreign currency as they are often accepted and easily converted in almost any country.

We also offer double signature checks for you and a traveling companion. You can buy checks that two people can use. There is a small 1% fee involved with these types of checks, but that is a small price to pay for the convenience of allowing more than one person to use the checks. Left over checks can be deposited right back into your Credit Union account. Since the checks are just like cash, there is no expiration on when they have to be used.
